What is an Orderbook

An order book is a live list of all the buy and sell offers placed by users in a P2P market.

It shows how many people want to buy (and at what price) and how many want to sell. When a buyer and seller agree on a price, a trade happens automatically, and the market price updates.

An order book is a real-time list of all buy and sell orders placed by users in a P2P market.

It shows:

  1. The prices at which users want to buy an outcome
  2. The prices at which users want to sell an outcome
  3. The quantity available at each price level

When a buy order and a sell order match at the same price, a trade is executed automatically, and the market price updates accordingly.

The order book is where user's bids and offers come together, helping the market discover fair prices based on demand and supply. It plays a key role in keeping P2P markets transparent, dynamic, and user-driven.
